Michigan Corpus of Academic Spoken English (MICASE).
This is a site with a collection of transcripts of spoken English
in academic contexts, such as lectures, labs, advising meetings,
dissertation defenses, and interviews. It can be searched to see
how words are used, or to read transcripts of particular speech events.
There is an article by Steven Thorne et al. in the office about a class
at Penn State that uses the MICASE to train international teaching
assistants.
