My research interests span the areas of networking and distributed systems. In particular, I am interested in studying and addressing the privacy concerns of users of Web 2.0 applications.

Before joining MPI-SWS, I worked at the Distributed Systems Group in INESC-ID Lisbon. The goal of the work was to ease the development of distributed applications for ad-hoc networks. We designed middleware that helps programmers in managing the applications' shared state by providing appropriate transactional and optimistic consistency abstractions. More details here.
