Nuno SantosI am a doctoral student at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems. My advisors are Krishna Gummadi and Rodrigo Rodrigues. I received by M.S degree in Computer Science from IST/UTL in Lisbon, Portugal. Before joining MPI-SWS, I worked in the Distributed Systems Group at INESC-ID Lisbon. I spent the summer of 2010 as an intern at Microsoft Research Redmond, working with Himanshu Raj in collaboration with Stefan Saroiu and Alec Wolman. |

Research |
Currently, my research interests span the areas of operating systems, networking,
and distributed systems.
I am particularly interested in cloud computing, especially in the
study and mitigation of emerging security threats.
My recent work focuses on making the cloud more trustworthy.
Today many customers feel a loss of control over their data and
computation when they use cloud services.
I am building novel systems that leverage traditional trusted computing
technology (TPMs) to provide end-to-end data confidentiality within and
beyond the cloud. |
